The Internet Video Alarm uses IP Cameras (video cameras that can connect to the internet) to record what’s happening around your property or office.
IP Cameras are a revolutionary new piece of kit – essentially digital security cameras that connect to the internet and transmit images over a fast Ethernet link.
The cameras use your broadband connection to connect to the internet, and you can use IVA HomePlugs around your house to make sure any room you have the camera in has access to your internet connection.
The cameras have built-in motion detection inside them – certain levels of movement trigger the cameras to switch on and start recording.
The video recording is then sent via the internet to your own personal secure web account. Your home computer doesn’t have to be left on all the time – everything is handled by the camera and our service.
Your account is password protected, and recordings can be accessed from anywhere in the World.
The account is organised by day and time, so reviewing old footage is a piece of cake.
You can set the system up to alert you if the alarm is triggered - and you can get sent an SMS warning or even an email with a camera snapshot in it. This is all controllable from your account, and can be turned on and off as needed.
